Over 200 volunteers, including local residents, students, teachers, parents, city supervisor David Campos, and 50 Google employees volunteered their time to serve John O'Connell High School in San Francisco's Mission District. Volunteers painted murals, landscaped the grounds, installed bulletin boards, and constructed picnic tables. Local musicians of all ages came and shared their music and art, and the day concluded with a singalong of "If I Had A Hammer," and "Stand By Me." The day was made possible thanks to funding from the Cesar Chavez Foundation and in-kind lunches from Whole Foods.
